The New York Botanical Garden Venezuela, Amazonas, Dpto. Rio Negro Cerro de la Neblina Expedition Rubiac. Remijia maguirei Steyerm. (corolla young) det. J.A. Steyermark, July, 1985 Vicinity of Camp VI, on a ridge on Venezuelan-Brazilian border, 3.5 km W of Pico Zuloaga, elev. 2000 m, 0°53' N, 65°56'W. Cloud forest on steep SW facing valley; dominants include Araliac. and Melastomatac., with bryophytes and filmy ferns. Small tree, 8-10 m x 6 cm; bark not bitter; peduncle and imm. fr reddish; calyx deep pink; corolla pink with white hairs. W. W. Thomas 3062 13-15 April 1984 & T.
