Flat, grazed grassy savanna with regularly spaced brush-covered ant/termite mounds with Brosimum gaudichaudii, Curatella americana, Simarouba, Cvbistax antisyphilitica, on fine Recent alluvium. 13°33’S, 6r00’30"W. alt. 190 m. Slender shrubs 1.5-2.5 m. tall, nearly or completely unbranched; bark reddish-brown; sap watery, clear. Inflorescence erect; fruit horizontal, reddish or yellow-green.
