Sierra de San Luis. Paraguariba, 3 km. east-northeast of Cerro Galicia, 2-3 km. northwest of town of Curimagua. Approx. 11011'30"N., 69°41'00"W. Alt. 1200 - 1400 m. Weak tree 6 m. tall in margin of forest bordering savanna. Leaves rubbery, dark green, shiny on upper surface; somewhat lighter, less shiny on lower surface. Perianth green. Anthers yellow.
