    Puerto Rico. Distrito de Humacao, Luquillo Mountains, El Yunque National Forest, along upper part of Quebrada Sonadora and its two northernmost tributaries, a mile or two above the El Verde Field Station.

  • Description

    Lithophyte & epiphyte; flower racemes appressed on top sides of leaves; petals usually yellow in center and red or reddish orange on inner (basal) and outer (apical) margins but they often have no red marking along the outer margin, tips and outer edges of lateral lip lobes yellow, bases and inner edges reddish. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fruit.
