Steep mountains 10-12 miles south of Talpa de Allende, in the
headwaters of an east branch of Río de Talpa, 3 miles above Los
Sauces; barranca above a rapid clear stream, in moist forest of
Quercus, Ostrya, Carpinus, Prunus, Podocarpus, Tilia; elevation
1400 m.
In the stream valley, not much seen,
Tree 8 m. high, slender; trunk 8 cm, cLiam.
juice milky.
