Primary forest along the road(in construction) Machiques-Colon,near the
Rio Catatumbo,+ 85 km W.N.W.of Santa Barbara-San C3rlos del Zulia.
Tree,+ 12 m tall.Bark rough,grey,branches and twigs greyish-brown.
Leaves papery,smooth,glossy,medium green above,siightly glossy and paler
green beneath. Scape pale green;flowerbuds yellowish-white.
Calyx pale green, corolla white, turning red; stamens white.Flowers With
a strong smell.
Immature Fruits,dull,pale green with purple veins above.
