The New York Botanical Garden Plants of BOLIVIA Ricinus communis L. det. M. Nee, 1989 Depto. Santa Cruz, Prov. Andres Ibanez, W side of city of Santa Cruz. 17°47'S, 63°12'W. alt. 420 m. "macororo" Herbs 1-3 m. tall, in sandy, weedy area, a common weed in disturbed areas in the Santa Cruz region. Stems and petioles purple-tinged. Male flowers yellow; female flowers green with red stigmas. Fruit all still green. Coll.: M. Nee 37882 26 Nov. 1989 04091698
