SELVA MEDIANA SUBPERENNIFOLIA. Roadsides and weedy
edges of cultivated fields of Zea mays, with Populus
mexicana common along the river.
Shrubby herb, 2 m. tall. Petioles and stems red. Male |
flowers yellow-green; female flowers with red stigmas;
young fruit green, old ones brown.
