Free-floating macrophyte. Leaves
green when young, becoming red.
Occasional. Habitat: very loose
aggregation of floating species with
scattered emergent shrubs.
Dominated by Ludwigia
helminthorrhiza, with smaller
amounts of Salvinia sp., Pistia
stratiotes and Polygonum sp.
