04085848 New York Botanical Garden FIELD MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY EUPHORB Phyllanthus compressus Kunth det. M.- Huft 1987 BELIZE. Cayo District: Macaal River, 10 mi. SW from San Ignacio, Ix Chel Farm; 600 ft. elev, rainfall 70-100"per year. Plants collected on hillside facing E within 100 ft. of riverbank. Small, delicate plant ca 16" high;flowers tiny, green, with yellowish green centers; flowers on stems under leaves. Common name lost ; renamed by collector as Baby's Tears or Lagrimas de nene.
