road and the small lake W of Laguna Parco Khocha,
17°33’24”S, 65°40’10”W. alt. 3415 m.
With scattered shrubs of Dunalia brachyacantha, Ephedra
americana, Baccharis sp., Salpichroa tristis, and some
planted Eucalyptus, heavily grazed.
Shrub 1.5 m. tall, 1.6 cm. in diameter. Voucher for wood
specimen, MADw. “Fruit” (the enlarged and fleshy bracts)
bright orange, on strictly erect stems.
