Buttressed tree 80 ft. tall, columnar,
diameter 20 inches. Bark nearly one inch
thick, soft, red inside, smooth, reddish
brown at base, greyish above. Latex very
thick, white, sparse. Flowers yellow, faintly
fragrant, leaves pilose "beneath in axils of
Rio Negro, Piedra de Cocui.
