Kaulaula Valley below Lapa tree planting area. Secondary
forest along small drainage, dominated by Aleurites,
Per sea, Lantana, Musa and Diplazium. Elev. ca 2440 ft.
Terrestrial from a long creeping rhizome at the base of
seeping rock face in moderate shade. Stipe dark brown;
fronds dark dull green above, slightly paler below.
Locally common. With Christella parasitica.
