Bolivar and Territorio Delta Amacuro (ca. 61° 44’ W., 8° 4’ N.). Low,
primary forest. Fertile soil.
Tree, + 15 m tall* D.B*H.= 14 cm.
Bole cylindrical. Slash of bark pale red. Wood
dense. Twigs brown with paler lenticels. Leaves
papery; smooth, slightly glossy and medium green
above, pale green and dull beneath. Fruits• gree n,
