Loose E-facing talus slope.
Annual to 1.5 ft. high X 2.5 ft. across; wings bluish-purple,
keel whitish, banner bluish-purple with broad white vertical
band in center; flowers aging reddish-maroon. Locally
abundant.
Associated species: Melica imperfecta, Rafinesquia
californica, Sonchus oleraceus, Brachypodium distachyon,
Lupinus concinnus, Mirabilis californica, Bromus rubens,
Avena barbata, Uropappus, Lupinus truncatus, Lotus
purshianus.
