Vine up to 3 m. over other vegetation, with white latex;
flowers greenish turning white; open flower 3-valved,
reddish inside petals; anthers yellow, filaments white;
basal horseshoe-shaped carpels 5, yellow-pink; stamens
(filaments) emerge between horseshoes and within horse-
shoes, the latter are bowed out and longer; fruit green,
spherical.
At 1700 m. along the Main Trail.
Explorer's Inn, near the confluence of Rio Tambopata and
Rio La Torre, 39 km. SW. of Puerto Moldonado, 12° 50' S.
and 69° 20' W.
