Shrub, 2m; stem silver/orange; petiole red/
white; veins white/pink; disc orange, ovary
green w/red; roots fusiform, smooth, surface
color orange/brown,inner skin purple,pulp white.
n.v.: yapamam (yap=samaño. The large root of
this plant is white like the meat of the
samaño.)
Use: Tuber is edible when cooked.
