Shrub, 3m; stem red; petiole burgundy; veins pink; roots cylindrical, horizontal, thin, surface color orange-brown, inner skin yellow, pulp white. n.v.: tomemam [tome=cotora, loro (a blue- headed bird)] Use: Tuber is edible and can be made into 'Masato' (cassava beer).
