- Shrub, 3.5m; stem white; petiole pink;
veins white; sepals yellow/burgundy, disc
orange; roots cylindrical, smooth, surface
color beige, pulp white.
n»v: yapamam (named after yap=sama3o, the
Agouti paca; the root is the color of the
meat of the samaiio)
Use: Tuber is edible and can be made into
'Masato' (cassava beer).
