Shrub, 3m;stem silver-brown; petiole green;
veins white; sepals green/burgundy, disc red,
ovary purple-green; roots conical, very
thick, surface color brown, pulp yellow,
n.v.: atamam (ato1=sachavaca, tapir)
Use: Tuber is edible and can be made into
'Masato' (cassava beer).
