Shrub, 3m; stem silver-brown; petiole
burgundy; veins pink; sepals yellow/burgundy,
disc red, ovary green-burgundy; roots fusiform,
horizontal, surface color brown, pulp white.
n.v.: pochemam (poch=coqui, leaf cutters eat
this plant)
Use: Tuber is edible and can be made into
'Masato' (cassava beer).
