E of center of Santa Cruz on road to Cotoca. 17°46'S, 63°04’W. alt. 375 m. Secondary (30-40 years old) subtropical semi- deciduous forest, the trees to 15 m. tall, Anadenan- thera macrocarpa, Gallesia integrifolia, very flat, on fine sandy and silty soil. Shrublet 2 m. tall, at edge of forest. Sap creamy white. Buds yellow-green. Coll.: M. Nee 37888 30 Nov. 1989 04081129
