The New York Botanical Garden Plants of BOLIVIA Euphorb. Manihot anomala Pohl ssp. gavoniana (Muell.Arg.) Rogers & Appan det. M. Nee, 1989 Depto. Santa Cruz, Prov. Nuflo de Chavez, 3-4 km. E of Concepcion. 16°08fS, 62°00fW alt. 475-500 m. Short forest and "cerradao" alternating on nearly level terrain over precambrian shield; most trees less than 12 m. tall, with Scheelea and Orbignya palms. Slender, few-branched, 4 m. tall; branches in whorls; sap milky. Fruit only, green, with bright orange ring at base. Coll.: M. Nee 33395 29 Dec. 1986 04081113
