THE NEW YORK BOTANICAL GARDEN plants OF MEXICO, State of Michoacan no. £09 Manihot caudata Greenm. S* shore of Lago Chapala, ca. £ mi. from border of Jalisco, roadsides and fencerows. Trees with trunk diameters to 30 cm. at base. Younger stems red-brown, shiny; epidermis peeling from older stems. Leaves glaucous beneath, bril- liant bluish-green (10 G 6/8*), dark green (5 G 3/U*) above; petioles dark red (2*5 R 3/7*) on mature vegetative leaves, lounger leaves and buds strong yellow green GY 6/8*). * Nickerson Color Fan, Am.
