PERU AMARANTHACEAE Amaranthus hybridus L. [79] det. Carolina Romero (MO), 2014 La Libertad: Bolivar Distrito Uchumarca. Roadside and dry forest fragments between Rondo El Ingenio and Pusac water captation. 06°59'52"S 077°54127"W 1560 m 40-120 cm tall herb. Stems bright magenta, with scattered short hairs. Petioles and central leaf vein magenta. Leaf underside with scattered hairs on veins. Flowers in dense spine, greenish-white. Used to feed Guinea pigs. "Ataco." 08 July 2010 Rainer W.
