Habitat:
Mixed dipterocarp forest, associates include
Dipterocarpus, Myrtaceae, Meliaceae. Red caly soil.
Field Char:
Tree 8 m tall, 9.5 cm dbh. Outer bark beige with
small lenticels, rugose. Inner bark brick red.
Undersurface leaves with small orange glands.
Young fruit green with red glandular spines. Calyx
green, margins light red, pilose.
Notes:
Local name: Sampotir bukit.
