generally ¿10 m, undergrowth profuse, herb layer very well
developed, dense beds of sphagnum moss over ground; colls,
this day centered on GPS coordinates lat. 5 deg. 35.513’ x long.

collection sequence 10386-10425; 5 m mucilaginous treelet;
twigs with an irritant indumentum of pale patent hairs; stipules
conspicuous, papery, nonpersisting, yellow-green; leaves
coriaceous, manifestly rugose-areolate, dark dull green; veins red
on underleaf, abaxial surface with dark granules; flowers yellow;
fruits spinose.
