Road from Tambunan to Trus Madi beyond Batu Lapan.
Ca. 5°33’N, 116°31’E
In degraded primary forest at 1200-1300 m alt.
Tree to 25 m tall, 25 cm dbh. Wood cream-coloured. Stems solid,
no ants. Bark smooth, lichen-stained. Twigs slightly glaucous
with reddish venation, exuding reddish clear latex when cut.
Stipules green, strongly recurved. Leaves trilobed, rarely
subentire, to 60 cm long, 40 cm wide, dark green aBove with a matt
finish, slightly glaucous beneath. Inflorescence pale green,
staminate.
