The New York Botanical Garden Plants of BOLIVIA Euphorbiaceae Jatropha yvua i Depto. Tarija, Prov. O’Connor, 13.4 km S of Palos Blancos on road to Carapari, then 3.8 km. E, 1.2 km E of buildings at Rancho Tres Aguadas. 21°31’15”S, 63°46’40”-55” W. alt. 850 m. Flat area in valley bottom and gentle slopes, grazed chaco woodland, with Schinopsis marginata, Ruprechtia triflora, Vallesia glabra, Synandrospadix vermitoxicus. Small shrub with thick tapering trunk to 1 m. tall, to 20 cm. in diameter; branches few, thick. Bark peeling off in coppery papery pieces. Sap watery-milky, sticky.
