Flat area in valley bottom and gentle slopes, grazed chaco
woodland, with Schinopsis marginata, Ruprechtia triflora,
Vallesia glabra, Synandrospadix vermitoxicus.
Small shrub with thick tapering trunk to 1 m. tall, to 20 cm.
in diameter; branches few, thick. Bark peeling off in
coppery papery pieces. Sap watery-milky, sticky. Petals
yellow with reddish orange on outside.
