from highway at Río Seco on dirt road toward La Florida.
Dry chaco forest on slight slope, sandy soil. Anandenanthera
macrocarpa.
18°39.60’S, 63°15.24’W. alt. 540 m.
Shrub 2.5 m. tall, 6 cm. in diameter, but gets to at least 4 m.
tall and 10 cm. in diameter here; bark beginning to peel into
papery brown fragments. Sap copious, runny, slightly milky.
Leaf lobes all curved and impossible to press flat. Petals
light yellow with red on part that was exposed in bud.
