Bijan Dehgan FLAS, 1992 Examined for a Monograph of New World Jatropha K botanical Ga HERBARIUM OF THE NEW TORE; BOTANICAL GARDEN CHIHUAHUA: In stony volcanic soil on gentle slopes of dry, grassy valley with scattered mesquite, ca 135 km north of Chihuahua and 22 km south of El Sueco. Elev. ca 1200 m. Stems somewhat succulent, arising singly or two together from a deep-seated cormose storage root ca 1 dm thick. Flowers uni- sexual, most of them staminate. Petals 5, light pink.
