KAUAI: Lower Limahuli Valley. Ridge on W side of valley. Remnant patch of
lowland native mesic forest dominated by Diospyros spp. Also Psydrax
oderata, Pittosporum, Alyxia stellata, Codyline, Hedyotis acuminata, being
encroached upon by Psidium guayava, Clidemia hirta, Lantana camara and
Schefflera actinophylla.
Shrub, 2m tall. Leaves decussate throughout most of the plant, but distichous
along branches near the base of the plant. Seed accessioned with Living
Collections (acc# 081003).
