KAUAI: Waimea District. Na Pali-Kona Forest
Reserve. Kohua Ridge trail (Maile Flat trail)
between Mohihi ditch and Mohihi stream.
Metrosideros/Acacia forest. Elev. 3320-3480 ft.
Terrestrial in moderate shade. Stipe and rachis
dark, glossy brown, almost black; fronds dark,
dull green. Some sori attacked by Lepidotperan
larvae. With Dianella, Psychotria, Pelea and
Coprosma.
