044: Euphoriba kibwezensis N.E.Br.-complex
Habitat: Patches of high trees, with very dense cover of
thorny lianas and dense thronbush as undergrowth. In
between open areas with short grass.
Description: Tree, 4 m high. Branches horizontal out
from the trunk. Spineshields continuous. Branches leaf-
less, green, succulent, with 2-3 wings. Segments of
varying shape, some wider than long, some longer than
wide. Segments always ca 10 cm wide, some with undulating
margins. Spines very large.
