r MINNESOTA NATURAL HERITAGE PROGRAM Plants of Roseau County, Minnesota Cypripedium reginae Walt. Sprague Creek Peatland, about 12 miles north-northwest of Roseau (town). In a swamp forest dominated by Thuja occidentalis. This is part of a “spring fen” system influenced by groundwater discharge. Associ- ated species include: Vaccinium vitis-idaea, Orchis rotundifolia, Smila- cina trifolia. NW/4 SE'/4 section 34, T 164N R 40W Occasional at this site. Coll. WelbyR.
