Growing under rock ledge, w/ a few of the crawling pinnule s protruding out from the ledge & ascending a few inches. Stems shiny black, pinna spaced out on rachis, in heart shapes, forms a dense mat of dead foliage & roots. Fertile pinnules have 1 or2 large balls of sori on the underside of the heart-shaped pinnules. 04046021
