Description
Pileus 12 cm broad, convex, black, floccose scaly, dry. Flesh white, changing to reddish orange, 3 cm thick. Tubes adnexed, 2 cm long, gray staining red orange, becoming black; pores concolorous, staining likewise, up to 2-3 mm broad, angular. Stipe 11.5 cm long, ±equal, curved at base, wooly floccose, dry; interior white, staining as in pileus. Phenology of specimen: Basidiomata.
