tropical forest, soil sandy.

Several clumps, 1-1.5 m. tall, these plants probably
from discarded stems, seen cultivated as a hedge
plant in several places in Buena Vista. Sap milky.
Leaves few. "Flowers" bright red, mostly held
horizontally.
