Iquitos Asplénium spruceanum Hieron Small epiphytes attached to side of dead trunk of small tree with mosses, about 5-7 cm. above ground; common as epiphyte on side of trunk of smaller trees, from near ground level to (about 2 m.?); heavy shade; light intensity low except for scattered sun rays that reach floor; humidity high and probably not fluctua- ting. In small (2 hectare) forest plot near Univer- sity experimental station on Hio Nanay about 25 km. by road from Iquitos. Coll. Donald R.
