Funk (BOT) Jan 2011 Guyana, Cuyuni-Mazaruni, Kako River, top of waterfall. 5° 28' 51"N, 60° 50' 49" W Elev. 687 m. Predominantly white sand, with Bombacaceae and Ochnaceae. Tree to 5m. Involucre green with brown hyaline margin. Disc flower white basally, purple apically. Nutlet immature with white pappus (disc flowers only). Style and stigma purple.
