    Extensive sandstone and conglomerate outcrops with Kalmia-Rhodendron and sparse forest dominated by conifers (Pinus echinata, P. strobus, P. virginiana) and hardwoods (Acer saccharum, Alnus, Halesia,Hamamelis, Liquidambar, Oxydendrum). saxicolous on granite.
