Aquatic herb, with inflated, floating
petioles. Abundant. Flowers
purple with a yellow patch.
Habitat: a large floating mat of
aquatic vegetation, with abundant
Eichhomia azurea, Pontederia
rotundifolia, Limnobium laevigatum, V^v-^
Oxycaiyum cubense and various
grasses.
