Extensive sandstone and conglomerate outcrops with Kalmia-Rhododendron and sparse forest dominated by conifers (Pinus echinata, P. strobus, P.virginiana) and hardwoods (Acer saccharum, Alnus, Halesia, Hamamelis, Liquidambar, Oxydendrum). corticolous on Acer saccharum.
