Flora of Bolivia Family: Lythraceae Cuphea melvilla Lind I. Determined by: N. Ritter (NHA), 1998 Department of Beni Province of Vaca Diez Laguna Tumechuqua; ca. 30 km SE of Riberalta. Elevation: 170 meters. Approximate location of the collecting area: 11°08'50"S. 66°10'24"W. Emergent. Common. At times growing on floating mats of Poaceae indet., but more often observed growing on the banks. Calyx rose with green tips. Water type: aguas claras. Substrate sediment overlying sand.
