(dllgaard (AAU), 1991 Pichinchas Quito Cantón Río Guajalito Reserve. 10 km W of Chiriboga, km 59 of old road Quito-Santo Domingo. Wet cloud forest. 00°1VS 78° 48 ' W 1900 m Terrestrial. Growing in clump on shaded muddy bank. Stipes 105—115 cm, blades 115-135 cm, longest pinna 50 cm. Green stipe and rachis, no groove adaxially but slight ridges on sides.
