Cuenca. Seco temporado (dry desert-like scrub).
2720 m.
Shrubs to 3.5 m tall. Heads with light yellow
corollas, light yellow styles, and orangish anthers.
About 30 plants seen, all growing on the tops of
dry gullies up from the road. Incredible variation
in leaf shape, size, color, and pubescence.
