Location
United States of America. Idaho. Custer Co. In wash of Malm Gulch, 12 miles south-southwest of Challis in Salmon River Canyon.

Habitat
With Hymenopappus filifolius, Oxytropis besseyi var. salmonensis, and Gilia congesta. Surrounding veg composed mainly of Atriplex confertifolia and Artemisia spinescens with Tanacetum nuttallii and Sarcobatus vermiculatus. Dry, sandy soil.

Description
Corolla blue, ca. 21 mm long, the pal nearly glab except for a very few hairs (occ 1 - 4 per flower); foliage highly glaucous. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fruit.

Occasional at this station but more abundant at higher elevations in the gulch where soils are derived from volcanic ash sediments
