Habitat
Restricted to caliche outcropping. Very common along highway verge as well as across the fence.

Description
Flowers bright blue-purple; stems ascending, not erect, basal leaves present at anthesis; inflorescence secund (usually given as not secund!); all petals flaring; staminode broader, whitish, and recurved at apex. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
