Desertscrub with Acacia willardiana. Bursera microphvlla.
Caesalpinia pumila. Croton sonorae. Diphvsa occidentalis.
Ferocactus emorvi. Fouquieria diguetii. Haematoxvlon
brasilleto. Hechtia montana. Jatrooha cuneata. Krameria sonora.
Lysiloma divaricata. Qpuntia gosseliniana. O. versicolor, etc.
Shrubs 1.2-1.5 m tall, with many succulent, green stems;
flowers (except ovaries) mostly bright red, especially the
filiform bracts.
