PLANTS OF GUATEMALA DENN ST AEDTI ACE AE File NY: fern Pteridium caudatum (L.) Maxon det. M. Sundue, 2002 Guatemala, Peten Department. 5 km E of San Miguel near the road to Santa Elena. Secondary upland forest. Found on roadside near fallow field. Also seen in fallow fields of 2 yrs., but not common. Aspect: N. Fern, apparently prefers loose soils. Local name: chispa.
